Dr. Guinevere Shaw is the Chief Executive Officer, Head of Investments and Partner of Rutherford Energy Ventures L.P. (REV).  She oversees the firm's day-to-day management while also leading the team in investment sourcing and investment strategy.

Prior to REV, Dr. Shaw spent more than six years as a Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science, Fusion Energy Sciences program office, where she managed a $50M per year R&D portfolio across fusion nuclear science and enabling technologies. She directed the merit review of more than 100 proposals annually, representing $250 million in requested funding and held final decision authority across DOE national laboratories, universities, and private sector partners. She conceived and deployed the $180 million Fusion Innovation Research Engine Collaboratives, a novel multi-institutional funding structure designed to accelerate fusion technologies toward commercialization.
