Riley Moeykens

Riley Moeykens is an analyst at Rutherford Energy Ventures (REV).
She is a nuclear science and engineering researcher with a background in nuclear fuels, materials, and applied physics. Her work spans fuel synthesis, radiation effects, and corrosion, with a focus on understanding how extreme environments impact material performance.
She is particularly interested in the future of fusion energy, exploring the technical and commercial pathways needed to bring fusion technologies to market.
Ms. Moeykens earned a B.S. and M.S. in Nuclear Science and Engineering and a B.S. in Physics from MIT (2025).
Her research at MIT involved synthesizing, characterizing, and testing fission fuels, as well as developing new methods to quantify radiation-accelerated corrosion. She is currently building models to map the evolving relationships among players in the emerging fusion sector.
